Biennale of the Future” Opens in Rome: Where Art Meets Artificial Intelligence

Rome, June 29, 2026 – The gates of the first “Biennale of the Future” officially opened this morning, an unprecedented event that transforms the Italian capital into a global stage for digital art and new technologies. Over 100,000 visitors from…

What we brought

The exhibition, set up in the regenerated spaces of the former Mattatoio and spread across various historic squares in the city, offers a unique immersive experience. Among the installations enjoying the most success in these early hours:

  • Neural Symphony: An acoustic arena where an Artificial Intelligence composes and conducts an orchestra of robotic instruments in real time, modifying the melody based on the audience’s emotional reactions captured by optical sensors.
  • The Holographic Sistine: A 1:1 scale, fully holographic, and walkable reproduction that allows visitors to “stroll” on Michelangelo’s original scaffolding and observe the details of the frescoes from just a few centimeters away.
  • Eco-Tech Pavilion: Fashion and design exhibitions where garments are created with lab-grown biomaterials and 3D-printed right before the eyes of the onlookers.

A Bridge Between Past and Tomorrow

The event aims to be more than just a spectacular technological showcase; it serves as a true forum for debate on the role of human creativity in the age of thinking machines. The opening ceremony featured internationally renowned artists, philosophers, and Silicon Valley pioneers.

“We are not replacing the artist with the algorithm; rather, we are providing human ingenuity with the most powerful and versatile paintbrush ever created in history,” stated the event’s artistic director during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
