Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on the platform, deployments, security, pricing, and support – written for the teams that have to operate Xautomata in production.

Platform & Technology

What is Xautomata?

Xautomata is a digital twin platform for IT and IoT that enables autonomous enterprise operations. It ingests data from your entire infrastructure, builds a live operational model, simulates scenarios, and executes governed remediation — with full audit traceability.

What does “digital twin” mean in this context?

A continuously updated software model of your real infrastructure — services, dependencies, assets, identities, and their operational state — against which the platform reasons before acting.

How is Xautomata different from traditional automation platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, UiPath)?

Traditional automation relies on rigid playbooks. Xautomata pairs a behavioural model with autonomous agents that simulate the impact of an action before executing it, so remediation is always context-aware and explainable.

Is Xautomata an AI platform?

Yes — but white-box. Every model and decision is explainable, deterministic, and bounded by explicit policies. There is no opaque generative inference inside the action loop.

What is Cloud Seeker?

Cloud Seeker is the Xautomata module that maps hyperscaler cost, configuration drift, and policy gaps in real time — surfacing remediation candidates that the platform can execute autonomously.

Where does Xautomata sit on the Gartner Intelligent Simulation maturity curve?

Xautomata is positioned at Level 4 (Agentic Simulation) on Gartner’s Intelligent Simulation Technical Functionality Roadmap, with a strategic development path toward Level 5 — the milestone of the full autonomous enterprise.

Use Cases & Industries

Which industries does Xautomata serve?

Xautomata is deployed across Manufacturing, Cybersecurity, and IT Operations environments. These represent the primary areas where the platform has been validated through production deployments. Our architecture is industry-agnostic at the platform level, but our configurations and use case libraries are built around the specific operational realities of each domain.

Can Xautomata integrate with OT (Operational Technology) systems?

Yes. Native connectors and protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT) ingest plant-floor signals alongside IT/cloud telemetry, so a single digital twin spans both sides of the fence.

How long does it take to see ROI?

Most production deployments reach measurable operational value within six to nine weeks, starting from a focused use case (incident triage, cost remediation, OT continuity) and expanding the scope iteratively.

Security & Compliance

Is Xautomata compliant with NIS2 and DORA?

Xautomata supports compliance with NIS2 and DORA through continuous monitoring, automated incident response, and full audit trail generation. The platform helps organisations demonstrate continuous compliance — not just point-in-time attestation. Specific compliance mapping documentation is available on request.

How does Xautomata handle sensitive operational data?

Data is processed within the customer’s perimeter wherever feasible (on-prem, VPC, or sovereign cloud). Identities and secrets are stored in the customer’s vault and accessed through least-privilege service principals.

What happens when an automated action has unintended consequences?

Every autonomous action is reversible by design and logged with its decision context. The platform supports configurable rollback windows and automatic compensating playbooks when post-action invariants are violated.

Pricing & Licensing

How is Xautomata priced?

Xautomata is offered on a subscription basis, with pricing structured around the scale of the deployment — number of monitored assets, agents deployed, and active use cases. We do not publish standard pricing because every deployment is scoped to the specific environment and objectives. Contact our team for a scoping conversation.

Is there a trial or proof of concept option?

Yes. A typical PoC runs four to eight weeks on a bounded scope (e.g. a single business service or compliance domain) with predefined success criteria agreed upfront.

Are professional services included?

Onboarding, integration design, and the initial behavioural-model library are bundled with the subscription. Custom playbooks or domain extensions are scoped as separate engagements with the engineering team or a certified partner.

Support & Onboarding

What does the onboarding process look like?

Onboarding begins with an architecture and use case review — we map your environment, define integration points, and agree on the initial set of Behavioral Models to deploy. Technical onboarding is managed by our engineering team, supported by partner integrators where applicable. Most production deployments reach first-value within six to nine weeks.

What support is available post-deployment?

Customers are paired with a named Customer Success engineer and tiered support (24/7 for production-critical incidents). Quarterly architecture reviews keep deployments aligned with platform releases.

How do I contact support?

Existing customers have access to the support portal and a private Slack channel with our engineering team. Prospective customers can reach us via the contact form or directly through their named account contact.
